Cleaner Fulham Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Cleaner Fulham provides cleaning and related services to domestic and commercial customers within its service area. By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client or you means the individual, company or organisation booking or receiving services from Cleaner Fulham.

Company, we or us means Cleaner Fulham, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means any cleaning or related services provided by the Company, including but not limited to regular domestic cleaning, one-off cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, office cleaning, deep cleaning and related tasks agreed with the Client.

Service Area means the geographic areas in which Cleaner Fulham offers services, as described on our website or confirmed by us at the time of booking.

Cleaner means any employee, contractor or representative engaged by the Company to perform the Services.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 The Company will provide the Services as described at the time of booking and as confirmed in the booking confirmation. The specific tasks to be carried out during each visit may vary depending on the type of service selected and any additional requirements agreed in advance.

2.2 Regular cleaning services typically include general cleaning of living areas, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. Deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning or specialist services may include more extensive tasks, which will be set out in your booking confirmation.

2.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse or discontinue any service if, in its reasonable opinion, the premises are unsafe, access is restricted, or the Client behaves in an abusive, threatening or inappropriate manner towards any Cleaner or representative.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be made online or by other means as made available by the Company from time to time.

3.2 By requesting a booking, the Client confirms that all information provided is accurate, complete and current, including property details, access information and any specific requirements or limitations that may affect the delivery of the Services.

3.3 All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until the Client receives a booking confirmation from the Company. The Company reserves the right to decline any booking without providing a reason, in which case any pre-authorised or prepaid amounts will be released or refunded where applicable.

3.4 The Client is responsible for ensuring that the date, time, service type and service address stated in the booking confirmation are correct. Any discrepancies must be reported to the Company promptly so that amendments can be considered.

3.5 For regular services, a recurring schedule may be agreed. The Company will use reasonable efforts to allocate the same Cleaner or team to each visit, but this cannot be guaranteed. The Company may replace a Cleaner with another suitably trained Cleaner when necessary.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Client must provide safe and timely access to the premises at the agreed time. Failure to do so may result in the appointment being treated as a late cancellation and a charge may apply in accordance with the cancellation terms below.

4.2 Access arrangements, such as key collection, key codes, concierge details or lockbox information, must be clearly communicated to the Company in advance. The Client is responsible for ensuring that any keys or access devices provided are in good working order.

4.3 The Company will take reasonable care of any keys or access devices provided but accepts no liability for any consequential loss arising from the Client’s failure to maintain adequate home or property insurance or security measures.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 The Client must ensure that the premises are reasonably tidy and accessible so that the Cleaners can carry out the Services efficiently and safely.

5.2 The Client must inform the Company in advance of any hazards, risks, delicate items, existing damage or special instructions that may affect the delivery of the Services, including any items or areas that should not be cleaned.

5.3 The Client is responsible for securing or removing valuable, fragile or irreplaceable items. The Company strongly recommends that such items be put away before the commencement of any cleaning visit.

5.4 Where the Client supplies cleaning products or equipment, the Client is responsible for ensuring that such products and equipment are safe, suitable for use and in full working order. The Company will not be liable for any damage or inadequate results caused by defective or unsuitable products or equipment supplied by the Client.

6. Prices and Payments

6.1 The price for the Services will be quoted at the time of booking, based on the information supplied by the Client. The Company reserves the right to adjust the price if the information provided was inaccurate or if additional work is required beyond the original scope.

6.2 Prices are generally calculated either on an hourly basis or as a fixed fee for a specified service. Any minimum booking periods or call-out charges will be communicated to the Client before confirming the booking.

6.3 Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on or before the date of service. The Company may require full or partial prepayment or a deposit, particularly for one-off or large-scale services, which will be communicated during the booking process.

6.4 Payment methods accepted will be stated during the booking process. The Company reserves the right to change accepted payment methods from time to time.

6.5 If payment is not received by the due date, the Company may suspend or cancel further services and reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a reasonable rate until final payment is received, together with any reasonable costs incurred in recovering the debt.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Missed Appointments

7.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving the Company adequate notice. The minimum notice period and any applicable charges will be stated in the booking confirmation or communicated at the time of booking.

7.2 Where the Client cancels or reschedules a service without giving the required notice, the Company may charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full value of the scheduled service.

7.3 If the Cleaner is unable to gain access to the premises at the agreed time, or if the appointment cannot proceed due to circumstances within the Client’s control, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a charge may apply.

7.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any booking due to unforeseen circumstances, staff illness, unsafe conditions, severe weather, transport disruption or other events beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative appointment. If no suitable alternative can be agreed, any prepayments relating to the affected visit will be refunded.

8. Service Quality and Complaints

8.1 The Company aims to provide Services with reasonable care and skill. If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Service, the Client must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 24 hours of the relevant visit where practicable.

8.2 The Client must provide clear details of the issue and, where appropriate, allow the Company an opportunity to inspect the premises and to rectify or re-perform the Service. The Company may, at its discretion, offer a re-clean of the affected areas or another form of reasonable resolution.

8.3 Complaints made after a substantial delay, or where the Client has not allowed the Company a reasonable opportunity to put matters right, may be more difficult to verify and may not qualify for rectification or compensation.

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 The Company will take reasonable care when providing the Services and carries appropriate insurance cover in respect of its legal liabilities.

9.2 The Company’s liability for loss or damage arising from the provision of the Services shall be limited to direct losses only and, to the extent permitted by law, shall not exceed the total fees paid or payable by the Client for the specific visit during which the incident occurred.

9.3 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of enjoyment.

9.4 The Company is not liable for wear and tear or for damage arising from pre-existing defects, inherent weaknesses, poor condition of items or surfaces, or the use of unsuitable cleaning products requested or supplied by the Client.

9.5 The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to accidents, extreme weather, public transport disruptions, strikes, or emergencies.

9.6 The Client is responsible for maintaining adequate insurance cover for their property and contents, including cover for accidental damage and theft, and for ensuring that their insurance policies permit the use of external cleaning services.

10. Health, Safety and Waste Regulations

10.1 The Company is committed to operating in a safe and responsible manner and expects Clients to cooperate in maintaining a safe working environment for Cleaners.

10.2 The Client must inform the Company of any known health and safety risks at the premises, including hazardous materials, structural issues, or any recent contamination such as sewage leaks, infestations or infectious diseases.

10.3 Cleaners are not permitted to lift or move very heavy items or furniture, to undertake work at unsafe heights, or to perform tasks that, in their reasonable opinion, present a risk to their health or safety.

10.4 The Company complies with relevant waste and environmental regulations. Cleaners will dispose of routine household waste generated during cleaning into the Client’s designated bins or waste containers. They are not permitted to remove large volumes of waste, bulky items, construction debris, hazardous materials or regulated waste from the premises.

10.5 The Client is responsible for ensuring that any waste requiring special treatment or collection is managed in accordance with applicable regulations and local authority requirements. The Company may, by separate agreement, assist with waste handling where lawful and appropriate, subject to additional charges.

11. Keys, Security and Confidentiality

11.1 Where the Client provides keys or access details for the premises, the Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that such keys or details are stored and used securely.

11.2 The Company will not disclose access information to any person other than the Cleaners and staff who reasonably need it for the purpose of providing the Services.

11.3 The Company and its Cleaners will treat all information about the Client and the premises as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or is necessary to enforce these Terms and Conditions.

12. Data Protection

12.1 The Company will process personal data about Clients in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and its privacy practices.

12.2 Personal data will be used for the purpose of managing bookings, providing Services, processing payments, handling queries and for other related administrative or legal purposes.

13. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

13.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will be made available on the Company’s website or otherwise provided to the Client.

13.2 For ongoing regular services, any material changes to these Terms and Conditions will, where practicable, be notified to the Client in advance. Continued use of the Services after such notification will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

14. Termination

14.1 Either party may terminate ongoing regular services by giving the notice period specified at the start of the arrangement or, if none is specified, by giving reasonable written notice.

14.2 The Company may terminate services with immediate effect where the Client is in serious or persistent breach of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to repeated non-payment, abusive behaviour or unsafe conditions at the premises.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter, formation or termination.

16. General

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

16.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to confer any rights on any third party, whether under statute or otherwise, and a person who is not a party to the agreement shall have no rights to enforce any of its terms.
